Albanian President Condemns Iran’s Drone Attack on Azerbaijan in Call with President Aliyev

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, held a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on March 7, during which he condemned Iran’s drone attack targeting Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

During the call, President Begaj strongly denounced the drone attack carried out by Iran against Nakhchivan, reaffirming Albania’s support for Azerbaijan amid rising regional tensions.

President Aliyev expressed his gratitude to the Albanian leader for the phone call and for Albania’s clear and principled position regarding the incident.

The two heads of state welcomed the continued positive development of bilateral relations between their countries and highlighted the importance of maintaining high-level reciprocal visits and contacts to further strengthen cooperation.

They also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest on the bilateral agenda and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties between Azerbaijan and Albania.
