Amir holds official talks with Algerian President
The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria HE Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Sunday morning
Doha, TGO: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria HE Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Sunday morning.
At the beginning of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed HE the Algerian President and the accompanying delegation, wishing him a pleasant stay, and the relations of the two countries further development and growth in various fields.
For his part, HE Algerian President expressed his thanks to HH the Amir for the warm reception and hospitality, looking forward to strengthen relations of cooperation to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, in addition to discussing issues of joint interest.
The session was attended by Personal Representative of HH the Amir HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Chief of Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
The session was also attended by Minister of Transport HE Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, Minister of Municipality HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi and Minister of Social Development and Family HE Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad.
On the Algerian side, the session was attended by Minister Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad HE Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals HE Abdul Rashid Tabbi, Minister of Energy and Mining HE Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research HE Abdelbaki Benziane, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues HE Kawthar Kriko, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development HE Mohamed Abdel Hafeez Hani and Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City HE Tarek Belaribi.
HH the Amir and HE Algerian President also held a bilateral meeting, during which they exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues, as well as the latest developments.
HE Algerian President had arrived earlier at the Amiri Diwan, where he was accorded an official reception ceremony.
