Amir of Qatar holds official talks with President of Turkmenistan
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held today an official talks session with President of Turkmenistan HE Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
At the outset of the session, HH the Amir welcomed HE the President and the accompanying delegation, wishing him a good stay and for bilateral relations further progress and growth in all fields.
For his part, HE the President of Turkmenistan expressed his thanks and appreciation for HH the Amir for the good welcome and reception, expressing his hope that the visit can enhance bilateral cooperation to broader horizons.
The talks session dealt with discussing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in all fields, particularly education, economy, investment, commerce, energy, sports, and social affairs, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent regional and international issues.
The talks were attended by Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Minister of Transportation HE Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, Minister of Sports and Youth HE Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, and Minister of Municipality HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qasim Al-Thani, Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, and Minister of Labour HE Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri.
On the Turkmen side, it was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Rashid Meredov, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of commerce affairs and private sector services HE Batyr Atdaev, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Oil and Gas Affairs HE Ashyrguly Begliyev, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations HE Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, Attorney General HE Serdar Myalikgulyev, Minister of Education HE Gurbangul Atayeva, Minister of Finance and Economy HE Serdar Jorayew, Minister of Labor and Social Protection HE Muhammedseyit Silapow, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation.
HH the Amir and HE President of Turkmenistan also held a bilateral meeting where they discussed a host of subjects of joint interest.
HH the Amir held a luncheon banquet in honor of President of Turkmenistan HE Serdar Berdimuhamedow and the accompanying delegation.
HE the President of Turkmenistan arrived at the Amiri Diwan earlier, where His Excellency was accorded an official reception.
