Amir of Qatar Meets Czech Prime Minister on Sidelines of EU-GCC Summit

Brussels, The Gulf Observer: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met Wednesday with His Excellency Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, on the sidelines of the first EU-GCC Summit held at the Europa Building, the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the strong bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Czech Republic, exploring avenues to enhance cooperation in various sectors. They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, with particular emphasis on the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip, the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, and the evolving security conditions in Lebanon.

The discussion also addressed major issues on the summit’s agenda, underscoring the importance of the EU-GCC partnership in promoting stability and cooperation in the region.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani; His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani; His Excellency Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi; His Excellency Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani; and His Excellency Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, alongside other members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.

On the Czech side, several senior officials were present during the meeting.

The EU-GCC Summit serves as a platform for both regions to discuss crucial global and regional issues, fostering dialogue and cooperation.
