Amir of Qatar, US President Trump Discuss Gaza Peace Plan in Phone Call
Doha, The Gulf Observer: The Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, on Wednesday received a telephone call from the President of the United States of America, His Excellency Donald Trump.
The discussion focused on developments related to President Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip. On this occasion, His Highness the Amir reaffirmed Qatar’s support for peace efforts and voiced confidence in the ability of countries backing the initiative to reach a just settlement that guarantees regional security and stability while safeguarding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The two leaders also reviewed the close strategic relations between Qatar and the United States across various areas of partnership and bilateral cooperation. In addition, they exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
