Amir of Qatar Visits Royal Military Academy Sandhurst
London, The Gulf Observer: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst today, where he was warmly welcomed by the UK’s Secretary of State for Defence, HE John Healey, Major General Nick Cowley, the Commandant of the Academy, and a number of senior military officers and officials.
During his visit, His Highness was briefed on the activities of the Qatar-UK Joint Squadron Exercise, a key initiative aimed at strengthening military cooperation between the two nations. The Amir also engaged with several academics at the academy and took the opportunity to meet with Qatari cadets currently enrolled at the institution.
As part of the visit, His Highness attended a spectacular air display featuring military aircraft, which showcased the capabilities of the participating forces.
The Amir was accompanied by several members of the official delegation throughout the visit.
