An Uzbek delegation takes part in Minsk International Book Fair
Minsk, The Gulf Observer: More than 100 books of various genres and directions from 10 publishing houses of Uzbekistan are presented at Minsk International Book Fair. Leading national publishing houses and the largest book distribution organizations of the CIS countries take part in the exhibition-fair, which will demonstrate their best achievements. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
Maxim Ryzhenkov, First Deputy of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, spoke at the opening ceremony of the event, welcoming the participants and expressing special gratitude for their contribution to the culture of reading and popularization of reading.
The exhibition will include presentations of books by Belarusian People’s Writer Nikolai Cherginets, observer of the publishing house “Belarus Segodnya” Andrei Mukovozchik, chairman of the commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Marzalyuk. A creative meeting will be held with Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Radkov
Today, the Culture channel of Belteleradiocompany will present its book radio projects. Traditionally, the winners of the 62nd National Competition “The Art of the Book” will be awarded.
On 25 March, the final of the III literary startup LitUP will take place, in which about 200 works took part this year. In addition, within the framework of the exhibition, the books of the winners of the literary startup of previous years will be presented.
The exhibition will feature an “educational quarter” – a space where the works of authors of educational, educational, educational literature and publishers of the system of the Ministry of Education will be presented. Also, within the framework of the exhibition, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, an “international quarter” will open on 23 March, where foreign literature will be presented.
An integral part of the Minsk Book Fair will be the international symposium of writers “The Writer and Time”.
The Minsk International Book Fair will last until 26 March.
