Anwar Assures Full Government Efforts for Safe Release of Malaysians in Global Sumud Flotilla

Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has given his personal assurance that the government is making every possible effort to secure the safe release of Malaysians involved in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF).
Sumud Nusantara Command Center (SNCC) director-general Datuk Sani Araby Abdul Alim Araby said the Prime Minister personally contacted him at 8.10am on Friday (Oct 3) to check on the well-being of the volunteers and their families.
“As the patron of the Sumud Nusantara Humanitarian Mission, the Prime Minister conveyed his regards to the families and gave his full guarantee that he is closely monitoring the situation. He stressed that the government is exhausting all efforts to secure the release of our Malaysian delegates,” Sani said in a statement.
He added that Anwar has been actively engaging in diplomatic negotiations with several key international leaders, including the President of Turkiye, the Emir of Qatar, and the US Secretary of State, to intensify efforts for the release.
Sani also urged mission supporters and Malaysians nationwide to continue offering prayers and performing solat hajat for the success of the humanitarian mission.
A press conference on the matter is scheduled to be held at 4pm today.
