Araghchi Holds Key Meeting with Omani FM

Araghchi

Geneva, The Gulf Observer: Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in Geneva to participate in the second round of indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States, held a meeting with his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi as part of final coordination efforts ahead of the talks.

The meeting followed the established procedure observed in previous rounds and focused on ensuring alignment before the formal commencement of indirect discussions between Tehran and Washington.

According to official announcements, the new phase of nuclear negotiations is scheduled to take place tomorrow morning at the Omani Embassy in Geneva, with Oman continuing its mediation role.

Earlier in the day, Araghchi, who is leading the Iranian delegation, met with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency. During the meeting, Iran’s technical perspectives regarding the ongoing indirect talks with the United States were presented and discussed.

The latest round of negotiations follows earlier discussions that began on February 6 in Muscat, where Iranian and US delegations exchanged views, considerations, and proposals through the Omani foreign minister.

At the conclusion of the Muscat talks, both sides characterized the discussions as constructive and expressed readiness to continue diplomatic engagement in pursuit of progress on nuclear-related issues.
