Araghchi Meets ICRC Chief During Geneva Diplomatic Engagements

Geneva, The Gulf Observer: Mirjana Spoljaric, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), held talks on Monday with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in Geneva.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including humanitarian matters.

Foreign Minister Araghchi arrived in Geneva late Sunday at the head of a diplomatic and expert delegation to participate in the second round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States.

Earlier on Monday, Araghchi met with Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where Iran’s technical perspectives regarding the indirect Iran–US nuclear negotiations were presented.

According to the official schedule, Araghchi is also set to meet with Switzerland’s foreign minister on Tuesday. His agenda further includes delivering a speech at the United Nations Conference on Disarmament as part of his visit to Geneva.

The meetings come as diplomatic efforts continue in Geneva aimed at addressing nuclear-related issues and broader regional concerns.
