Armenia opens fire on the positions of Azerbaijani army

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Today, on September 17, from 00:20 to 00:40, the units of the Armenian armed forces opened fire on the positions of Azerbaijani army located in the direction of Demirchidam and Istisu settlements of Kalbajar district from their positions located in the direction of Zarkand and Yukhari Zagali settlements of Basarkecher district.
Azerbaijani media was told by the press service of the Ministry of Defense that at 00:50, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army located in the direction of Khojaly region were fired at by the illegal Armenian armed groups in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed.
Adequate response measures were taken by the units of the Azerbaijan Army located in the mentioned directions.
In addition, from 00:55 to 03:00, illegal Armenian armed groups in the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily located, tried to dig new trench roads in order to approach the positions of the Azerbaijani Army located in the direction of Kalbajar and Aghdam regions.
As a result of urgent measures taken by the units of Azerbaijani army, the works were stopped immediately.
