Astana holds Secretariat of Congress of Leaders of Word and Traditional Religions

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev read out the congratulations on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan to the participants of the 21st session of the Secretariat of Congress of Leaders of Word and Traditional Religions, according to media reports.

In his address, the President noted this initiative becomes an important platform for inter-civilizational dialogue for a short period of time proving its timeliness. The forum also contributed to strengthening friendship and accord between the religions, solutions of pressing issues of humanity, and promoting tolerance. Spiritual leaders from all over the world discussed pressing issues of global concern and exchanged views on the preservation of peace and promotion of mutual respect. The Head of State stressed spiritual leaders make a great contribution to solving these issues. The sitting of the Congress of the Secretariat is being held to this end. Kazakhstan always supports interfaith and inter-confessional cooperation. In conclusion, the Head of State wished those present fruitful work.
