Azerbaijan Admitted as Full Participant in Central Asian Heads of State Consultative Meeting

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan has formally been admitted as a full-fledged participant in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, marking a significant step in the country’s engagement with regional multilateral platforms.
The decision was adopted during the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held in Tashkent. According to the official resolution, the leaders reviewed Azerbaijan’s request and approved its full participation in the consultative format.
“Having reviewed the request of the Azerbaijani side, the Republic of Azerbaijan is to be admitted as a full-fledged participant to the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia,” the decision stated.
The Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asia has been tasked with coordinating and harmonizing all relevant regulatory documents in accordance with Azerbaijan’s new status.
The decision was jointly signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, President Sadyr Zhaparov of Kyrgyzstan, President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan.
Azerbaijan’s inclusion is viewed as a move that will bolster regional cooperation, strengthen economic and political ties, and enhance dialogue among Central Asian nations and their partners.
