Azerbaijan and Belarus Sign Protocol on Law Enforcement Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The Ministries of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan and Belarus signed a protocol on cooperation during the visit of Belarusian Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Ivan Kubrakov to Azerbaijan on January 16.

The document was signed by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, and Lieutenant-General Ivan Kubrakov, Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus.

During the meeting, Minister Eyvazov emphasized ongoing collaboration with Belarus in law enforcement, particularly in combating major forms of transnational organized crime, including illicit drug trafficking, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime. He noted that tangible results in these areas require close and coordinated joint efforts.

The discussions also covered other issues of mutual interest, underscoring the commitment of both countries to strengthen cooperation in internal security and law enforcement.
