Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties in Phone Call

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on December 29, during which the two sides discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations.

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the ministers exchanged views on various aspects of the brotherly, friendly and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, reaffirming the strong foundation of ties between the two countries.

Both foreign ministers expressed confidence that, building on the positive momentum achieved during the current year, joint efforts would continue in the coming year to further advance the existing multifaceted cooperation based on shared values and mutual interests.

The conversation also covered other bilateral and regional issues of common concern.

At the conclusion of the call, Ministers Bayramov and Saidov exchanged heartfelt congratulations on the upcoming New Year, wishing peace and prosperity to the peoples of both countries.
