Baku, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on March 5 to discuss the recent drone attacks targeting the territory of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan expects Iran to issue an official apology for the incident, provide a prompt explanation regarding the findings of the investigation, and take urgent measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi expressed concern over the drone attacks on Nakhchivan and stated that the Iranian authorities, including the military, have launched an investigation into the incident.
