Azerbaijan Continues Resettlement Efforts in Lachin Under Presidential Directives
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Under the directives of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has commenced another phase of resettling residents in the recently liberated city of Lachin, according to a report from NHC.
On Friday, 18 families, comprising a total of 59 individuals, were successfully relocated to the city. This latest resettlement brings the total number of families returned to Lachin to 570, encompassing 2,090 individuals.
The ongoing relocation efforts are part of Azerbaijan’s broader initiative to restore normalcy in territories liberated following the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The government continues to prioritize the reconstruction of infrastructure and housing in Lachin to ensure safe and sustainable living conditions for returning residents.
