Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On September 10, 2024, Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad hosted the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, organized by China Media Group (CMG). The event, supervised by Dr. Summar Rao, invited Khalid Taimur Akram as the keynote speaker, while Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal served as the Chief Guest. The festival is a significant cultural celebration in China, symbolizing family reunion and togetherness.

A highlight of the event was the traditional Chinese “moon cake,” a sweet delicacy shared among friends and family during the festival. Around 150 students and experts attended the celebration, which showcased Chinese culture and promoted cultural exchange between China and Pakistan.

Other notable speakers included Dr. Hina Shahid, Dr. Saleem Mazhar, Director General of the National Language Promotion Department, and Ms. Jaining Du, Bureau Chief in Pakistan for China Media Group (CMG).

At the conclusion of the event, Ms. Jaining Du distributed souvenir trophies and shields to key participants, including Khalid Taimur Akram, Dr. Saleem Mazhar, Dr. Hina Shahid, Dr. Summar Rao and Ms. Fatima Tuz Zehra (Editor-In-Chief of The Gulf Observer). The event fostered cultural appreciation and strengthened ties between China and Pakistan.
