Azerbaijan ready for gas supply to Romania
Baku, The Gulf Observer: On December 16, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and “Romgaz SA” signed an agreement on the supply of gas from Azerbaijan to Romania.
The contract is scheduled to start from January 1, 2023, through the Greece-Bulgaria Gas Interconnector (IGB) from the Greek-Comotini exit point of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which is the European branch of the Southern Gas Corridor. means transportation.

The contract, which ensures the delivery of Azerbaijani gas to a new buyer in Europe, serves the strategic goals of our country on diversification of gas supply within the framework of new bilateral partnerships with various European countries.
The mentioned contract was signed in Baku on July 18, 2022 within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan and the European Union on Strategic Partnership in the field of energy. One of the main goals of the memorandum is to increase the supply of natural gas to the European Union and contribute to energy security.
