Azerbaijan, Spain Strengthen Bilateral and Parliamentary Cooperation
Baku, The Gulf Observer: On January 23, Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Francina Armengol Socias, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Asadov extended his condolences to Speaker Armengol Socias over the recent train crash in Spain, which resulted in a significant loss of life.
The discussions highlighted the positive dynamics of Azerbaijan-Spain relations, noting that bilateral ties are built on the principles of friendship and mutual respect. Both sides emphasised the importance of strengthening interparliamentary cooperation through reciprocal visits and maintaining regular contacts at the parliamentary level.
The meeting also focused on the development of mutually beneficial collaboration across a range of sectors, including trade, economy, investment, energy, renewable resources, transport, and other areas of shared interest.
