Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan FMs Discuss Strategic Partnership and Regional Security in Phone Call

Baku, The Gulf Observer: On March 20, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation, focusing on bilateral cooperation and pressing regional developments.

During the call, the two ministers reviewed the growing cooperation within the framework of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. They also exchanged views on the evolving security situation in the Middle East.

Both sides expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in the region, noting that continued military escalation poses serious risks not only to regional security but also to global stability. They emphasized the need to intensify diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability.

The ministers also conveyed warm congratulations on the occasion of the holy Ramadan and Novruz holidays, extending their best wishes for prosperity, unity, and the continued strengthening of ties between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The conversation further included an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
