Azerbaijani Culture and Poetry Week begins in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: On the initiative of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan, within the framework of the Azerbaijani Culture and Poetry Week, a presentation of a five-language encyclopedic publication entitled “Shusha – the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” and an enormous concert performance by Azerbaijani artists took place at the State Institute of Art and Culture.
The participants visited the Azerbaijan Center for Culture and Art, created in this educational institution, and got acquainted with the exhibition of photo books devoted to various topics.
According to the Rector of the Institute, Eldor Shermanov, historical cultural ties between the two countries are at the highest level. He also noted the significant role of the Cultural Center in Uzbekistan in this.
Director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan Samir Abbasov noted that the heads of state showed great efforts and will in this direction, highlighting the unique role of Shusha as a bridge between the cultures of the Turkic world and informing about the projects implemented by the Center related to the region.
The artistic part of the event includes national songs performed by famous singers and laureates of international contests invited from Azerbaijan.
