Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Extends Condolences to Türkiye over Military Plane Crash in Georgia

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Tuesday, expressing deep condolences over the tragic crash of a Turkish Air Force “C130” military transport aircraft in Georgian territory.

During the call, Minister Bayramov conveyed heartfelt sympathy on behalf of the Azerbaijani government and people to the families of the fallen servicemen, as well as to the government and the fraternal people of Türkiye. He prayed for God’s mercy on the deceased and wished patience and strength to their loved ones.

Minister Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan remains in close contact with the relevant authorities of Türkiye and Georgia concerning the incident. He further emphasized that Azerbaijan stands ready to provide all necessary assistance to help mitigate the consequences of the crash and to support ongoing search and rescue operations.

In response, Minister Hakan Fidan expressed sincere gratitude for the condolences and solidarity extended by Azerbaijan during this difficult time, reaffirming the enduring bond of friendship and brotherhood between the two nations.
