Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov Meets Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in Algiers

Baku, The Gulf Observer: As part of his official visit to Algeria, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov was received by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in Algiers.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations, emphasizing their foundation of friendship, mutual respect, and shared values.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to expanding political dialogue and deepening cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including economy, education, humanitarian affairs, energy, transport, agriculture, tourism, science, and technology.
The leaders hailed the signing of the Agreement on the Establishment of a Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Algeria as a pivotal milestone in advancing the partnership between the two nations.
They also highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration within international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Both sides commended Azerbaijan’s active initiatives and leadership during its chairmanship of several international platforms, recognizing the country’s contribution to promoting multilateral cooperation and global peace.
Minister Bayramov briefed President Tebboune on the history of Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan, as well as Azerbaijan’s vision for achieving sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus in the post-conflict period. He also outlined ongoing reconstruction and restoration projects in the liberated territories.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, with both sides expressing confidence that the outcomes of the visit would contribute to further strengthening the Azerbaijan–Algeria partnership.
