Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Meets Newly Appointed EU Baku

Baku, The Gulf Observer: On September 9, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Azerbaijan, Marijana Kujundžić.
At the outset, Ambassador Kujundžić presented her letter of appointment to Minister Bayramov, who congratulated her on her new role and wished her success in her diplomatic mission.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues concerning Azerbaijan-EU relations, with both sides discussing cooperation in political, economic, energy, transport and communications, humanitarian, and other fields.
Particular emphasis was placed on joint energy projects, which the two parties described as a key pillar of bilateral cooperation. They also expressed optimism about the prospects for expanding collaboration in other priority sectors.
Minister Bayramov briefed the EU ambassador on the current regional situation in the post-conflict period. He highlighted the significance of the agreements reached at the Washington meeting, including the initialling of the peace agreement, and underscored the importance of the decision to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Process and its related structures.
For her part, Ambassador Kujundžić affirmed her commitment to strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and the EU, stating that she would spare no effort to further advance the bilateral agenda during her tenure.
The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual interest, reflecting the shared determination of both sides to continue deepening their partnership.
