Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev Receives Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan to Strengthen UAE–Azerbaijan Economic Cooperation
Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan received H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is leading the UAE delegation on an official visit to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral economic and investment cooperation across key sectors.
President Aliyev welcomed Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan and the accompanying UAE delegation, expressing his appreciation for the longstanding friendship and partnership between the two nations.
During the meeting, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the people of Azerbaijan. President Aliyev, in return, asked Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan to relay his greetings to the UAE President, wishing the UAE and its people further advancement and success.
The discussions covered prospects for expanding cooperation between private-sector entities in both countries, boosting joint investments, and supporting innovative projects aimed at creating a more diversified and sustainable economic ecosystem powered by advanced technological solutions.
The UAE delegation included Syed Basar Shueb, CEO and Managing Director of IHC; Ali Al Rashdi, CEO of International Resources Holding (IRH); Ajay Bhatia, CEO of Sirius International Holding; and Fouad Darwish, CEO and Managing Director of Palms Sports.
