Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Inspects Air Defense Unit, Commends Combat Readiness

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and Deputy Minister of Defense – Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, inspected the service and combat activities of an air defense military unit, the Ministry of Defense said.
At the unit’s command post, Colonel General Hasanov was briefed on the fulfillment of assigned service tasks and the current operational situation.
The ministry’s leadership also observed specialized training sessions conducted by the unit. The personnel’s professionalism, their ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios, and their skills in the proper handling of weapons and equipment were highly commended.
During the visit, Colonel General Hasanov issued relevant instructions to the air combat command, emphasizing the importance of thoroughly studying the tactical and technical characteristics of modern weapons and equipment recently introduced into the air defense arsenal. He stressed the need to master their effective use under combat conditions and to further enhance personnel skills to ensure safe and efficient operation.
The inspection underscored Azerbaijan’s continued efforts to strengthen the combat readiness and operational capabilities of its air defense forces.
