Bahrain engineers’ role in national development
Manama, The Gulf Observer: Bahrain’s Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak praised the role of engineers in national development and progress.
He described Bahrain Society of Engineers as essential partner with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture in spearheading key projects.
He underlined engineers’ pivotal role over decades in Bahrain’s development, under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The minister made the statement as he attended a ceremony hosted by Bahrain Society of Engineers, on the occasion of Bahrain Engineer Day.
He planted a tree on this occasion in line with the strategy aimed at doubling the number of trees by 2035, within the commitments of the Kingdom of Bahrain to implement the objectives of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).
Bahrain Society of Engineers Dr. Raeda Al Alawi commended the ministry’s support to all initiatives aimed at developing the agricultural sector in the Kingdom.
She stressed the association’s support to the national campaign for afforestation “Don’t Be Green”, initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, Chairperson of the Advisory Council of the National Initiative for the Development of the Agricultural Sector
