Brussels, The Gulf Observer: The Kingdom of Bahrain, represented by a delegation led by Abdulla Faisal Al Doseri, Bahraini Ambassador to Belgium and Head of the Diplomatic Mission to the European Union (EU), participated in the second edition of the Schuman Security and Defence Forum 2024. The forum, held in Brussels, gathered participants from over 60 countries along with representatives from international and regional organizations.
The Schuman Security and Defence Forum 2024 served as a vital platform for discussing common security and defense issues between the EU and its international partners. Key topics included strategic partnerships, hybrid security threats, human security, and the role of women, youth, and the environment within the security and defense framework. Additionally, the forum addressed maritime security, counterterrorism, and sustainable security partnerships.
Ambassador Al Doseri underscored Bahrain’s commitment to fostering international cooperation in security and defense. “Our participation in the Schuman Forum highlights Bahrain’s dedication to addressing global security challenges through collaborative efforts and strategic partnerships,” he remarked.
The forum facilitated in-depth discussions and exchanges among global leaders, enhancing the collective approach to tackling emerging security threats and promoting sustainable solutions.
