Bahrain to Host Inaugural Round of Prestigious Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Series

Manama, The Gulf Observer: Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, Bahrain is set to host the first round of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup series in the Middle East. The event is scheduled to take place from March 14 to 16 at the Military Sports Association’s field in Al Raffa.

The inaugural edition of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup consists of 10 rounds spanning different continents. This event is an integral part of the Bahrain championship for local breed horses, showcasing the Kingdom’s commitment to the preservation and promotion of purebred Arabian horses with deep historical roots.

His Highness Shaikh Nasser expressed his pride in Bahrain being chosen to host the first round of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup in the Middle East. This selection reflects Bahrain’s distinguished reputation as a leading hub for purebred Arabian horses and underlines its historical connection to these magnificent creatures.

Highlighting the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to care for Arabian horses and support owners, His Highness emphasized the royal vision to preserve these horses, integral to the history of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Shaikh Nasser commended the efforts of the UAE in preserving Arabian horses, stressing the region’s commitment to supporting Arabian horse preservation and its leading role in promoting these horses globally. He acknowledged and praised His Highness Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his patronage and dedication to equestrian sports in the UAE, solidifying the country’s global standing in this field.

The importance of hosting the first round of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Series as part of the Bahrain championship for local breed horses was emphasized by His Highness, highlighting the efforts of the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), led by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. This event further reinforces Bahrain’s status as a premier destination for Arabian horse championships.

Expressing appreciation for His Highness Shaikh Nasser’s patronage, His Highness Shaikh Isa praised BREEF’s commitment to the development and success of equestrian sports, contributing to Bahrain’s standing in the global sporting community.

BREEF President acknowledged the UAE’s significant role in promoting equestrian sports, lauding the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mansour. The support has resulted in positive outcomes, enhancing the UAE’s strong presence on the international equestrian stage.
