Bahrain attends 4th Arab League Regional Conference
Manama, The Gulf Observer: Bahrain has significant achievements in the field of promoting and protecting human rights, especially during COVID-19, said the Foreign Ministry.
It highlighted the directives of His Majesty. King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up and support of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
This came during the Human Rights Affairs Sector’s participation in the Fourth Arab Regional High-level Conference on the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights,.
Themed “The Impact of Crises on the Enjoyment of Human Rights: The COVID-19 Pandemic as a Model” the conference was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, in cooperation between the League of Arab States and the Office of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
Human Rights Sector Advisor Budoor Salah Abdulaziz, expressed her pride in Team Bahrain’s achievements, headed by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as a global civilized model in addressing COVID-19, and its success in providing integrated health services to all citizens and residents without discrimination, including free treatment, tests and vaccinations, which contributed to achieving the principle of “Health for All”.
She further commended Bahrain’s approach to the global pandemic, emphasizing that Bahrain is proceeding with its pioneering human rights and development achievements in accordance with the constitution, the Government Action Plan, and the National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026), in light of the 2030 Economic Vision with its principles based on sustainability, competitiveness and justice.
