Manama: Speaker affirms progress of Bahrain's services sector

Manama, The Gulf Observer: Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has asserted that the services and infrastructure sector in the kingdom is witnessing a quantum leap during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era.

She commended the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance the level of public services across the kingdom’s governorates, which contributes to the effective implementation of the plans and projects included in the Government Action Plan, as well as ensure a decent life for the citizens.

Fawzia Zainal made the statements while receiving here today the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, whom she congratulated on the precious royal trust bestowed upon him by appointing him to his post, and wished every success in carrying out the tasks entrusted to him.

She underlined the keenness of the Council of Representatives to unify the national efforts by continuing its cooperation with the government to achieve complementarity in joint work with municipal councils.

She praised the pivotal role played by the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture in implementing service plans aimed at meeting the citizens’ needs, highlighting the Parliament’s desire to develop the legislative system in order to push the growth process further.

The minister expressed thanks to the Speaker for the meeting, affirming that the services sector in the kingdom enjoys the direct interest of HM the King, noting that it is among the development priorities of the government, led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
