Baku Gears Up to Commemorate Anniversary of January 20 Tragedy

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Initiation of preparations in Baku is underway in anticipation of the commemoration of the January 20 Tragedy anniversary.

The ongoing preparations for the 34th anniversary commemoration of the January 20 Tragedy are actively taking place in the Alley of Martyrs.

In observance of tradition, the Alley of Martyrs undergoes a meticulous transformation as skilled specialists and landscape designers meticulously craft special floral compositions using carnations of various hues. The Executive Power institutions of Baku City in the Republic of Azerbaijan diligently execute comprehensive cleaning and landscaping initiatives in preparation for the 34th anniversary of the January 20 Tragedy. This multifaceted effort includes the pruning of branches, renewal of the lawn, planting of new flowers and bushes, painting of lampposts, thorough washing of sidewalks and the entire area, and preventive maintenance at the torches gracing the Alley. These endeavors not only honor the solemn occasion but also contribute to the dignified ambiance of the memorial site.

The preparatory works are planned to be completed by January 19.
