Bali Prepares to Host 10th World Water Forum with Grandeur and Precision

Bali, The Gulf Observer: In a resolute affirmation of readiness, Dewa Made Indra, the Provincial Secretary of Bali, declared in an online press conference monitored on Tuesday, that Bali stands poised to welcome the esteemed delegates of the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) scheduled to be held from May 18 to May 25, 2024.

Indra emphasized the meticulous collaboration between the Bali provincial government, the central government, Indonesian Military (TNI), National Police (Polri), and various stakeholders in orchestrating the preparations for the eminent event, ensuring seamless facilitation for the arrival of delegates at the esteemed I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.

Efforts have been earnestly directed towards streamlining delegate mobility, managing logistics, and providing comprehensive accommodation arrangements to ensure the utmost comfort and convenience during the international forum.

Speaking at the press conference on Bali’s Preparation as the Host of the 10th WWF, Indra underscored Bali’s stature as the quintessential venue for hosting significant, expansive, and pivotal events. He outlined plans for a ceremonious Balinese welcome for delegations from participating countries, including traditional Balinese dances to greet heads of state and government upon their arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport.

In alignment with the thematic focus of the 10th WWF, “Water for Shared Prosperity,” Bali’s rich cultural heritage, particularly its reverence for water, will be prominently showcased. Indra highlighted Bali’s profound cultural ethos encapsulated in the saying “toya uriping bhuwana,” signifying water as the essence of life in the universe, with cultural performances, including the Melukat tradition, serving as poignant embodiments of this ethos.

To ensure optimal logistical and infrastructural readiness, the Public Works and Public Housing Ministry has meticulously inspected delegate routes, focusing on cleanliness, condition, and aesthetic appeal. Concurrently, the Bali Provincial Transportation Office has diligently overseen the functionality of all traffic signage to mitigate the risk of traffic congestion.

Addressing security concerns, the Bali provincial government has forged robust collaborations with TNI-Polri and the central government, with comprehensive contingency plans in place to address any unforeseen exigencies or disaster scenarios during the course of the 10th WWF.
