Baykar to Showcase Turkish-Made UAVs at International Paris Air Show 2025

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Baykar, Türkiye’s leading defense technology company, will present its domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the first time at the 55th International Paris Air Show, scheduled to take place from June 16 to 22 at Paris-Le Bourget Airport.
The globally recognized event, one of the largest in the aviation and aerospace industry, brings together key players and decision-makers to highlight advanced technologies and innovations across the sector.
Baykar will participate alongside Leonardo SpA, the Italian defense giant, marking the international launch of their new joint venture, LBA Systems, during the exhibition. The partnership underscores a strategic collaboration between two major defense entities.
In a joint video message titled “Let’s meet at #ParisAirShow”, released on Tuesday via YouTube, Leonardo CEO Roberto Cingolani and Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar invited attendees to visit the LBA Systems display.
“The strong synergy between Leonardo and Baykar is really the asset of the joint venture,” said Cingolani. “We can combine the most advanced payloads, electronics, sensors, cameras, and technologies with the most advanced drones that Baykar is fabricating with different sizes and payloads.”
Bayraktar emphasized the strength of the partnership, noting, “LBA Systems brings together two engineering heavyweights with a shared vision: Baykar’s battle-proven UCAV technologies and Leonardo’s European experience and system integration form a perfect alliance.”
Baykar’s UAVs Make Paris Debut
Baykar will showcase its advanced UAV platforms at the Paris Air Show for the first time, including:
- Bayraktar Akıncı: A high-payload, long-range unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) capable of multi-role operations.
- Bayraktar TB3: The world’s first UAV capable of taking off from and landing on short-runway naval vessels.
- Kemankeş 1: A domestically developed, AI-powered mini intelligent cruise missile with an operational range exceeding 200 kilometers.
The event will serve as a key platform for demonstrating Türkiye’s growing capabilities in indigenous defense technology and aerospace innovation.
Baykar, one of the world’s top UAV exporters, has secured export agreements with 35 countries for the Bayraktar TB2 and with 15 countries for the Bayraktar Akıncı, underlining its expanding global footprint in the defense sector.
