British and Saudi Defense Ministers Discuss Strategic Cooperation in London Meeting

London, The Gulf Observer: British Secretary of Defense John Healey received Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman at the British Ministry of Defense headquarters in London on Tuesday, in a high-level meeting aimed at strengthening bilateral defense ties.
The two defense ministers reviewed the close and longstanding historical relations between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Discussions focused on strategic cooperation in the military and defense sectors and explored avenues for further development to serve the shared interests of both nations.
The talks also covered key regional and international developments, as well as issues of mutual concern. Both sides exchanged views on the ongoing efforts to promote regional stability and enhance collective security.
The meeting was attended by several senior Saudi officials, including Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prince Khalid bin Bandar, Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-Bayari, Advisor to the Minister of Defense for Intelligence Affairs Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, CEO of the Saudi-British Defense Cooperation Program and Head of the Salam Project Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz Al-Qudairy, and Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassies in London and Dublin Maj. Gen. Riyadh Abu Abah.
From the British side, the meeting was attended by several high-ranking defense officials, including Minister of State at the Ministry of Defense Lord Vernon Coaker and Chief of the Defense Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin.
The visit underscores the depth of defense collaboration between the two countries and reaffirms their mutual commitment to bolstering peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond.
