Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev suggested to create a system of cross-border trade zones
Cholpon-Ata, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev suggested to create a system of cross-border trade zones.
A new format of cooperation for the past 5 years allowed to double regional trade, President Mirziyoyev said at the Central Asian summit on July 21 in Cholpon-Ata.
The President of Uzbekistan said new forms of facilitation of trade are needed. “We suggest to create a system of cross-border trade with unified rules and simplified procedures of supply of goods. It is important to support the efforts to replace expensive imported goods from the third countries with products made in the region. We need to advance joint industrial cooperation projects,” President Mirziyoyev said.
“It is important to develop a common approach to Central Asian localization of production and substitution of import,” President Mirziyoyev suggested.
President Mirziyoyev also suggested to hold the regional forum of Central Asia every year and try to create common favorable business climate to make the region attractive for investors.
