Beijing, The Gulf Observer: In a bid to bolster tourism and facilitate seamless travel experiences, China has officially enacted a policy permitting visa-free entry for foreign tourist groups arriving aboard cruise ships at all cruise ship ports situated along the nation’s expansive coastline.
Announced by the National Immigration Administration (NIA), the policy allows tourist groups comprising a minimum of two foreigners, organized or received by Chinese travel agencies, to enter China sans visas while embarking on cruise ships via the designated cruise ports in 13 prominent Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, and Sanya, among others.
According to the directives outlined by the NIA, all members of such tourist groups must enter China collectively. Moreover, the entire group is required to remain aboard the same cruise ship and proceed to the subsequent port until the vessel exits Chinese territory, as stipulated in the official statement released by the NIA.
Under the provisions of the policy, tourists are permitted to stay within Chinese borders for a duration not exceeding 15 days. During their stay, tourists have the liberty to explore coastal provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and the capital city, Beijing, enriching their travel experiences with the diverse cultural and natural attractions China has to offer.
This progressive move by China aims to streamline travel procedures, promote tourism, and foster cultural exchange, thus enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between China and its international visitors. With the implementation of this visa-free policy, China reaffirms its commitment to advancing tourism and facilitating hassle-free travel experiences for visitors from around the globe.
