China-Pakistan Collaboration: BRISD President Presents Xi Jinping’s Book to Faisal Karim Kundi
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: In a significant meeting that symbolized the strong and mutually beneficial relationship between Pakistan and China, Mr. Qaiser Nawab, President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), had the honor of meeting with Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, Former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly and Minister of State for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety of Pakistan. The meeting took place at the Pakistan People’s Party Secretariat in Islamabad, where Mr. Nawab had the privilege of presenting Xi Jinping’s book, “The Governance of China” Volume IV, to Mr. Kundi.
Mr. Kundi, who also holds the position of Central Secretary of Information of the Pakistan People’s Party and is a member of the Central Executive Committee, expressed his deep admiration for China’s remarkable progress and development in recent decades. He cited his multiple visits to China, where he witnessed the nation’s noteworthy achievements in poverty alleviation and economic growth.
During the meeting, Mr. Nawab conveyed his appreciation to China for providing remarkable opportunities for its citizens to lift themselves out of poverty and for fostering a business-friendly environment. He highlighted the role of visionary leader Xi Jinping and China’s commitment to global development through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Both Mr. Nawab and Mr. Kundi acknowledged that Xi Jinping’s efforts, particularly through the BRI, have become a beacon of hope for the developing world.
Both also discussed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project of the BRI, which has played a pivotal role in fostering remarkable development in Pakistan. CPEC has not only strengthened the economic ties between Pakistan and China but has also provided job opportunities for countless Pakistanis, contributing to the nation’s progress towards achieving sustainable development and poverty alleviation in the region.
