China-Mongolia-Russia summit held in Samarkand

The sixth China-Mongolia-Russia was held in Samarkand on Thursday.

Samarkand, The Gulf Observer: The sixth China-Mongolia-Russia was held in Samarkand on Thursday.

The leaders have discussed implemenation of China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor, advancement of specific projects of trilateral cooperation.

The agreement was reached on start of development of the central railway corridor linking three countries and preparation of the feasibility study.

The leaders underscored importance of creation of eastern and western railway corridors and deepening of cooperation in border and customs spheres. They also discussed development of road transportation between three countries and increase of freight transportation.

The leaders emphasized that construction of the gas pipeline from Russia to China through Mongolia is of a special importance for cooperation of 3 countries. They agreed that it is important to work together to advance the project.

The leaders noted that the term of China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor program has been extended for 5 years.

The leaders discussed creation of the investment center in Ulaanbaatar, cooperation in such areas as culture, science, education, tourism, response to natural disasters.

China-Mongolia-Russia summits are held since 2014 with the purpose of expansion and strengthening of relations between strategic partners and neighboring countries, expansion of scales of political and economic trilateral cooperation.
