Chinese delegation visits Bukhara
Bukhara, The Gulf Observer: A delegation led by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China Hu Heping visited Bukhara.
Members of the delegation visited the Samanid Mausoleum, the Ark Fortress, which testifies to the great genius of our ancestors and the deep roots of science in Uzbekistan. Guests were introduced to the monument’s history and crafts development.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism of China noted that the Ark Fortress is a striking example of the creative potential of the Uzbekistan people and attention to the development of science and culture.
The Chinese delegation also visited the Poi Kalon complex. It was noted that under the leadership of the Head of state, historical monuments have been restored, and national cultural and spiritual values have been revived. At the initiative of the President, this complex is being completely reconstructed. The ensemble, consisting of the Kalon Mosque, the Kalon Minaret, and the Mir Arab Madrasah, made a great impression on the guests.
In Bukhara Exhibition Hall of Silk Carpets, guests examined the unique products woven by our craftswomen. The historical part of Bukhara received special attention from Chinese guests.
A meeting was held with the Regional Hokim Botir Zaripov. The guests noted that the historical monuments of Bukhara are a rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan people, a high example of classical architecture, and appreciated the work on construction and improvement.
