Chinese Passenger Jet C919 Conducts Rehearsal Flight in Singapore Ahead of Airshow
Singapore, The Gulf Observer: The Chinese passenger jet C919, developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd., took to the skies on Sunday for a rehearsal flight in Singapore in preparation for the upcoming airshow. This marks a significant step as five aircraft developed by the corporation, including the C919, gear up to meet the public at the Singapore Airshow 2024, scheduled from February 20 to February 25.
The C919, a narrow-body twinjet airliner, is set to showcase its flight capabilities with live demonstrations during the airshow, contributing to the dynamic aerial displays alongside other participating aircraft. The event is expected to feature aerobatic teams from India, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, and the Singapore Air Force, which will showcase its F-15 fighter jet and Apache attack helicopter.
With over 1,000 participating companies, the Singapore Airshow 2024 is anticipated to draw more than 50,000 trade attendees from over 50 countries and regions. As a notable development, the airshow will host the country pavilion for Chinese aerospace enterprises for the first time, providing a platform for collaboration and showcasing the achievements of the Chinese aviation industry.
