Chinese President Xi Jinping Establishes PLA Information Support Force
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping officiated the establishment ceremony of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Information Support Force on Friday in Beijing, underscoring the pivotal role of this new branch in advancing China’s military capabilities.
President Xi, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), presented a flag to the Information Support Force, emphasizing the imperative to construct a robust and modernized information support system.
The formation of the Information Support Force represents a significant decision by the CPC Central Committee and the CMC in line with the broader objective of fortifying the nation’s military prowess.
President Xi emphasized that the Information Support Force is a strategic arm of the military and a critical component in coordinating the development and application of network information systems. This force will be instrumental in enhancing the Chinese military’s competitiveness and capabilities in modern warfare.
Addressing the force, President Xi stressed unwavering adherence to the Party’s command and emphasized the paramount importance of loyalty, purity, and reliability.
President Xi called for seamless integration of the Information Support Force into the Chinese military’s joint operational system, with a focus on executing precise and effective information support operations to enhance military activities across various domains.
Additionally, President Xi highlighted the necessity of developing a network information system tailored to the requirements of modern warfare and reflecting the unique characteristics of the Chinese military. He emphasized the urgency of enhancing integrated combat capabilities.
President Xi engaged with the leadership of the Information Support Force and participated in a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
