Cultural Conference Strengthens Ties Between Romania and Pakistan

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Embassy of Romania in Islamabad, in collaboration with the National Language Promotion Department Pakistan, hosted a significant cultural conference on January 25, 2024.

The event, titled “Mihai Eminescu and Allama Iqbal – Cultural Bridges between Romania and Pakistan,” aimed to enhance cultural understanding and celebrate the shared heritage of the two nations.

Key figures, scholars, and cultural enthusiasts gathered at the conference, where Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of PRCCSF, delivered a keynote speech. The event underscored the importance of cultural exchanges in fostering mutual respect and appreciation.

The conference delved into the deep-rooted cultural relations between Romania and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Emphasis was placed on Mihai Eminescu, a prominent figure in Romanian literature, and the profound impact of his work on Romanian culture. Additionally, the connections and similarities between the revered national poets of Romania, Mihai Eminescu, and Pakistan, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, were highlighted.
