Czechia Records Foreign Trade Surplus of 26.3 Billion Crowns in June Despite Year-on-Year Decline

26.3

Prague, The Gulf Observer: Czechia’s foreign trade posted a surplus of 26.3 billion crowns in June 2025, marking a year-on-year decline of 4.2 billion crowns, according to preliminary data released by the Czech Statistical Office on Wednesday.

The trade balance was positively influenced by a higher surplus in the trade of cars and other means of transport. However, this gain was partially offset by a lower surplus in the trade of metal products, which had a negative impact on the overall balance.

In June, imports grew at a faster pace than exports. Czech exports rose by 7.4% year-on-year to reach 416.1 billion crowns, while imports into the country increased by 9.2% to 389.8 billion crowns.

The data reflects shifting dynamics in the country’s foreign trade structure, with strong performance in the automotive sector continuing to support export growth despite external and internal economic pressures.
