Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Arrives in Mashhad for 28th ECO Ministerial Meeting
Mashhad, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, arrived in Mashhad, Iran, on Monday to attend the 28th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
Dar was warmly received at the airport by Mohammad Ali Nabipoor, Vice Governor General of Razavi Khorasan province, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu, as per a press release from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, media reports.
During the ministerial meeting, DPM Dar is expected to reaffirm Pakistan’s strong commitment to the ECO Charter. He will also emphasize the importance of enhanced connectivity in the ECO region through the development of road and rail networks, liberalization of visa regimes, and simplification of border procedures. His address will highlight the need for sustainable growth and the enhancement of the geo-economic potential of the ECO region.
