DEWA CEO Discusses Strategic Collaboration with IBM EMEA Chair Ana Paula Assis
Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with Ana Paula Assis, Chair and General Manager of IBM for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), to explore new opportunities for collaboration and leverage advanced technologies for enhancing DEWA’s operational efficiency.
The discussions centered around the integration of IBM’s expertise in artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and cloud-based solutions to optimize DEWA’s assets and support its ongoing digital transformation. The meeting highlighted IBM’s role in accelerating Dubai’s vision for smart city initiatives and contributing to the emirate’s green energy transition.
A key focus of the talks was IBM’s partnership with Moro Hub, a subsidiary of DEWA, where they explored ways to incorporate IBM’s cutting-edge technologies into Moro Hub’s digital platforms. This partnership aims to deliver enhanced solutions to customers, supporting various sectors in optimizing operations, improving asset performance, and fostering digital innovation across the region.
Al Tayer reaffirmed DEWA’s commitment to adopting the latest technological advancements to provide world-class services and sustainable energy solutions. He also emphasized DEWA’s role in helping position Dubai among the top 10 digital economies, in line with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Ana Paula Assis expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with DEWA and Moro Hub, highlighting the transformative potential of their collaboration in bringing innovative technologies to the region.
