Dubai Airshow Showcases UAE’s Vision for Global Leadership in Aviation

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has reaffirmed that the Dubai Airshow stands as a testament to the UAE’s forward-looking vision and its unwavering commitment to consolidating its status as a global hub for aviation, space, and defence innovation.

Speaking on the eve of the opening of the landmark event at Dubai World Central, His Highness said the Airshow has consistently served as an inspiring platform for global industry leaders, experts, and innovators to explore new opportunities and shape the next generation of advanced technologies.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that the UAE’s engagement with the international community is rooted in a strong desire to build meaningful partnerships, develop impactful solutions, and drive sustainable growth across vital sectors.
“Over the years, Dubai Airshow has established itself as one of the world’s leading aerospace and technology platforms, recording an ever-expanding turnout and attracting major international companies and organisations,” he stated. “It has become a preferred destination for unveiling the latest innovations and technologies, and an open laboratory for advancing ideas that are redefining the future of vital industries.”

His Highness highlighted that the exhibition embodies the UAE’s commitment to developing an integrated aviation ecosystem and enhancing its role as a reliable partner in advancing innovative defence systems and supporting the knowledge economy. He added that the nation remains firmly convinced that investment in science, research, and technology is the most effective pathway to protecting the future of nations.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed senior officials, experts, and decision-makers from around the world who have gathered in Dubai for the milestone event.

Held under his patronage, the 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow runs until November 21, showcasing the latest industry trends, breakthrough technologies, and major developments—from the expansion of global airport infrastructure to the unveiling of next-generation aerospace solutions. The event continues to strengthen its reputation as a premier global platform for the aviation and aerospace sectors.

The current edition, the largest in the event’s history, features more than 1,500 exhibitors—440 of them participating for the first time—alongside 148,000 visitors and 490 civil and military delegations representing 115 countries. Among the 21 national pavilions, the Kingdom of Morocco is participating for the first time. The Airshow also includes 98 chalets, 120 startups, 50 investors, and an expansive 8,000-square-meter exhibition area.
