Dubai, The Gulf Observer: Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), the governing body of Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) free zone, presented a report titled “Dubai’s Healthcare Ecosystem Highlights” at Arab Health 2024, providing crucial insights and growth indicators in Dubai’s healthcare sector. The report showcases DHCC’s commitment to advancing the healthcare ecosystem by seamlessly integrating core services and collaborating with global organizations.

Key findings from the report underscore DHCC’s pivotal role as the healthcare investment hub in Dubai, with an anticipated significant increase in turnover between 2020 and 2024 at an estimated 16% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR). This growth reflects the free zone’s dedication to efficiency and sustainability, garnering confidence from major regional and international healthcare investors.

The report reveals robust growth in Dubai’s healthcare industry, predicting substantial increases in both public and private sector healthcare expenditure. Public sector spending is projected to reach AED 104 billion by 2027, with the private sector expected to reach AED 22 billion by the same period, demonstrating a CAGR of 7.5% and 8.8%, respectively.

Emphasizing DHCC’s expansion plans, the report highlights Phase 2’s ongoing development, designed to complement the healthcare ecosystem with preventive care, wellness, and urban lifestyle offerings. Phase 2, covering approximately 22 million square feet, has attracted strategic investments of AED 1.03 billion from 2019 to date. Aligning with Dubai’s vision for a dynamic healthcare industry, DHCC plays a key role in attracting investment to contribute to the ambitious goals outlined in the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.
