Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Emirates International Endurance Village (EIEV) has achieved a significant milestone with the approval of its endurance racing system by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) for use in world championship events. This accomplishment is attributed to the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

The EIEV’s innovative endurance racing system, championed by His Highness Sheikh Mansour, sets a new standard for managing endurance races, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and transparency across global events. This landmark achievement positions the EIEV’s system as the first of its kind in the Middle East, integrating several key components:

  • Timing System: Records precise race times from start to finish, including individual stage durations and overall race duration.
  • Horse Heart Rate Monitoring System: Monitors horses’ heart rates continuously to safeguard their well-being and prevent overexertion.
  • GPS Tracking System: Tracks horses’ locations in real-time throughout the race, ensuring adherence to the designated racecourse.

The official accreditation from the FEI authorizes the EIEV’s endurance racing system for implementation at the upcoming 2025 FEI Endurance World Championship for Young Riders & Juniors in Buftea, Romania, scheduled for September 5-6.

This milestone underscores EIEV’s unwavering dedication to innovation and excellence in endurance racing, reinforcing its status as a global leader in the sport.
